Former Lieutenant Governor Don Beyer today called on voters to renew their push against gun violence, touting numerous commonsense solutions that he vowed to act upon if elected to Congress in November. “Gun violence is a major issue right here in our neighborhoods, as well as throughout Virginia and the nation,” Beyer said. “We need to take a comprehensive approach and stand up to the political bullying of the NRA.”
Former lieutenant governor Don Beyer won the top spot on the June 10 primary ballot in the 11-person race for the Democratic nomination for Virginia’s 8th congressional district. The Virginia State Board of Elections assigned the ballot positions Wednesday morning in a drawing at their Richmond offices.
