Around the 8th in 80 Days!
This weekend we were so lucky to spend a gorgeous day in Quincy Park, with ice cream, puppies, and a crowd of over 100 friends, both old and new. I was so happy to share all the great events, policy forums, and meet-and-greets we have planned on the road to November 4th!
Over the next 78 days we’ve got:
– Women for Beyer events, forums and book parties, for our now over 1,000 Women for Beyer! Have you signed up?– weekly Ideas Forums, hosted by our five advisory groups comprised of experts and grassroots leaders from a variety of fields.– a September 3rd Doggy Happy Hour at Hotel Monaco in Alexandria to benefit the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, a Humane Society shelter.– and so much more!
As I said on Saturday, this campaign is about ideas. I plan to spend the next 78 days listening and learning from the citizens of the 8th district. I’m going around the 8th because, to paraphrase Jules Verne, “Anything one person can imagine, others can make real.”
Now that the ice cream sundaes have been eaten and music has wrapped, it’s time for us to get down to business. I hope you’ll stay tuned, and tell your friends to do the same – we’ve got a lot planned and I don’t want you to miss a minute of it.
Thank you, for all you do,
p.s. Team Beyer spent yesterday canvassing with Senator Tim Kaine for our friend Rip Sullivan. We all know, from Rip Sullivan to John Foust to Mark Warner, this is a campaign of teamwork. If you live in Arlington’s 48th District – I hope to see you at the polls for TOMORROW’s special election for state delegate.
