Three more candidates joined the race for the Democratic nomination to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va. 8th District).
Moran has announced his retirement, and Beyer has arisen as a possible successor. A former lieutenant governor and ambassador to Switzerland, Beyer is well qualified for the position. He boasts a keen intellect. His experience with his family’s car dealerships lends him an appreciation of the challenges confronting small businesses. We trust him implicitly. We remember dinner conversations whose topics ranged from the issues of the day to the novels of John Updike. We hope Beyer runs – and wins.
Did you hear? The Cook Political Report has rated Dr. Cameron Webb's chances of winning better than ever. From Charlottesville to Danville, we can turn a new part of Virginia blue. Join me (and basically every Dem in VA!) tonight at 7pm for a grassroots fundraiser!
