Taking a page from Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days, former Lieutenant Governor Don Beyer kicked off the last 80 days of his campaign for Virginia's 8th congressional seat this morning at Arlington's Quincy Park. Beyer announced his plan to listen to and learn from the citizens of the 8th district - one of the nations most educated and engaged communities. "This campaign is about ideas and optimism," Beyer said. "To paraphrase Jules Verne, 'Anything one person can imagine, others can make real.' "
Friends, we have amazing momentum to elect Don Beyer to Congress this November, and here are a couple of great ways you can be part of this exciting campaign! First, I hope you will join us at 11am on August 16th for the Campaign Kickoff Party in Arlington’s Quincy Park!
Please join Don, Megan, Team Beyer, and many special guests for a Campaign Kickoff Party on August 16th at 11 am, in Arlington's Quincy Park! Please bring your friends and family for fun in the park!
Friends, Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional! We were so happy to hear this decision from the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals yesterday. The momentum is moving – finally – in the direction of equality. And we have to work together to keep it going.
